The tour to Machu Picchu is made in one day, with the possibility of adding an extra day and additional services, with a night accommodation in Aguas Calientes, the town below Machu Picchu. In both cases, departure is in the morning from Cusco and the round-trip is partly by bus partly by train. The return to Cusco is late in the evening.

Cusco - Aguas Calientes - Machu Picchu - Cusco

On the day and time of your choice, transfer from Cusco airport to your hotel in Cusco.

The day of the tour, early in the morning, transfer from your hotel in Cusco to Ollantaytambo train station ( 1 hour 30 min. from Cusco).

Transfer by train for a 1 hour 30 min. journey to the small town of Aguas Calientes, below Machu Picchu.

Upon arrival, 20 minute ride by bus to the citadel of Machu Picchu.

Arrival to Machu Picchu, the entrance to Machu Picchu is included.

Guided group visit with a bilingual Spanish/English guide. You visit the citadel of Machu Picchu where you will see during maximum 4 hours Inca ruins, buildings, the Main Square, the Circular Tower, the Clock of the Sun, the Kings Quarter, the Temple, the terraces, the irrigation canals and the surrounding area.

Free time to visit the citadel by yourself.

Early in the afternoon, end of the visit and ride back down to Aguas Calientes by bus.

By the end of the afternoon, you will take the train to go back to Cusco. The train journey has a duration of approximately 1 hour 30 min. to Ollantaytambo. Upon arrival to the train station at night, transfer by bus to a central point in Cusco city and end of our services.
